There were 14 "Fallas" in Denia this year, built all around the Town.
The first three pictures show the Denia to Gandia Train, made of paper mache.
As you can see in the picture it was built so close to the buildings that the fire brigade had to hose the buildings down!!, as the heat was so intense, this is a common problem with all of the "Fallas"
The "Fallas" are judged by the Mayors of the area, and the worst is burnt first, (around 10.30 PM) and the best last (around 3.00 AM)so no-one gets much sleep that night.
The 7th and 8th picture shows a scene of paper mache dogs dressed as humans, this recieved first prize, and as such hade the "honour" of being burnt last!!
